What was your favorite thing about living in Boston?
Whenever I woke up in a foul or good mood in the morning, I got to immediately have a cup of coffee with my family and friends. And then we would go over to this rented church space and practice music for eight hours a day.
Also, Nathan would always point out the glowing Citgo sign in the distance, and say how Jon Brion wrote a song about the Citgo sign. And for some reason I came to love that big goddamn glowing eyesore.
Also, we had a perfectly crummily out of tune piano in our house that I tried to learn how to play, and that was back when I was still writing letters.
And the liquor store down the block didn’t card me.
